With the technology advances in computer diagnostics inbuilt in vehicles today, it is not uncommon for trailer electrics to interfere with such computer systems. Most European vehicles emit pulse current for their lighting which is sometimes not compatible with LED lighting used on trailers as they need a constant current to operate. The Ark Power 12 eliminates this interference issue by isolating the vehicle electrical and diagnostic systems from the electrical components of the vehicle being towed. The Power 12 technology is all integrated into the connector body and utilises industry standard wiring and is also fitted with a Reed Switch to isolate reverse sensors on vehicles.
